Book Summary

 The war that won the country its independence also lost many of the men who fought to achieve it, including Brom’s lover. This story was short but it was what I needed at the time. A friend recommended this one when she found it for free, yes, FREE, on Amazon. So I snatched it up. When I had a moment and I didn’t have time to read a long book, I eagerly dived into this one.

The writing was pretty solid for such a short read. Sometimes when it’s free, the stories aren’t so great but I was pleasantly surprised.

My torched character pulled on my heartstrings, I wanted to be there and stroke his hair and take away all the bad things. Lucky, this guy was tough. There was a bit of story line that leads you to wonder what will happen next.

My school teacher was what can I say without giving much away. Well, let me just say, he was what I hoped for.

Overall, I liked this one and I’m looking forward to the next.
